Using Gamers Mandi
Your name is your username. It is what buyers see on every listing, in every chat and beside every review — so it belongs to one account only, and there are a few rules about what it can be.
There is no separate display name and username. The name on your account is your username, and no two accounts can have the same one.
Names are compared without regard to capital letters or extra spaces. If somebody is called Baw Store, then baw store, BAW STORE and Baw Store are all treated as the same name and none of them is available. That is deliberate: a buyer choosing who to trust reads the name, not the capitalisation, and two shops that look identical is how somebody inherits a stranger’s reviews.
You can change your name once every 90 days, from Account settings.
The wait exists because your name carries your reputation. Somebody who could rename weekly could walk away from bad reviews and reappear as a fresh shop, which is the one thing a review score exists to prevent. 90 days is long enough for a name to mean something and short enough to fix a genuine mistake.
Accounts created before these rules existed keep their current names. Nothing was renamed. The rules apply the next time a name is set.
You may not use Gamers Mandi branding on your account. Specifically:
Being a verified seller here is something you can say plainly — “verified seller on Gamers Mandi” describes a fact. Naming your shop as though it were us does not.
The same principle applies to everyone else. You may not take a name designed to be mistaken for another seller here, and you may not present yourself as a person, shop or brand you are not.
Deliberately near-identical names — a swapped letter, an added character, a different spacing — are treated as impersonation rather than coincidence, and the account that had the name first keeps it.
It depends on what was done and whether anybody was misled:
If an account is impersonating you, another seller, or Gamers Mandi itself, report it from that account’s profile page, or email [email protected] with a link to the profile and a short note about what is wrong.
If your artwork or logo is being used as somebody’s profile picture, that is a copyright matter and there is a separate route for it — see our copyright and DMCA page.
